For five years, Mildmay Hospital and NOVA Medical School in Lisbon have worked together to give nutrition and dietetics students hands-on clinical experience in our HIV, homelessness and post-detox pathways. Their audits, research and service evaluations are shaping care at Mildmay, influencing international practice, and helping to train the next generation of dietitians to work with rigour and humanity.

Mildmay’s Senior Specialist Dietitian, Kattya Mayre-Chilton, has been formally recognised by NHS England for her contribution to a national e-learning programme on Nutrition and HIV. Her specialist input, drawn from clinical practice at Mildmay Hospital, is helping support high-quality, evidence-based HIV care across the NHS.

On Thanksgiving Day, Mildmay recognised the dedication of our wonderful volunteers with a celebratory lunch, short presentation of token gifts, and music led by our friend Dominic with Dr Ben. Our volunteers’ support is integral to our work. As Christmas approaches and World AIDS Day nears, we honour lives, recognise progress and renew our commitment to compassionate, inclusive HIV care. Thank you to all our volunteers.

Mildmay is proud to attend the 27th National HIV Nurses Association Conference, where our specialist team is sharing insights on complex HIV care, safeguarding, and rehabilitation. As we mark our 40th anniversary, we continue to champion holistic, person-centred care for people living with HIV and neurocognitive challenges.
