Over the past two and a half years, Mildmay’s Senior Specialist Dietitian, Kattya Mayre-Chilton, has contributed her specialist expertise to a national NHS England e-learning programme on Nutrition and HIV. dietetics

Developed as part of the Sexual Health & HIV (eHIV-STI) programme and delivered through NHS England’s Technology Enhanced Learning platform, the module supports healthcare professionals across England to deliver high-quality, evidence-based HIV care. Kattya undertook this work in her own time, drawing directly on her clinical experience to help shape the content.

The NHS Learning Hub is a national digital platform used by healthcare professionals across England to access accredited training and continuing professional development. The eHIV-STI programme supports clinicians working in sexual health, HIV, primary care, acute services and community settings, helping to promote consistent standards of care and improve outcomes for people living with HIV.

In January 2026, NHS England formally recognised Kattya’s contribution in a letter of acknowledgement, highlighting the value of her specialist knowledge and the role it has played in raising the quality and standard of national e-learning resources. The letter also emphasised the importance of partnership working and the impact that specialist clinicians can have in shaping education for the wider NHS workforce.

Kattya works at Mildmay Hospital, a specialist medical rehabilitation hospital in London, where she supports people living with HIV and other complex health needs. She also runs an outpatient clinic at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and has extensive experience across acute care, rehabilitation, research and education.

This recognition reflects Mildmay’s long-standing role as a centre of specialist expertise in HIV care, and the contribution our clinicians continue to make beyond the hospital, supporting learning, best practice and improved outcomes across the NHS. dietetics
