32% of our beds are available today.
Our specialist capacity is being underused, but within the NHS, many wards are full, while discharges can often be delayed, making a complex situation even more challenging. If you have a patient who no longer needs intensive acute treatment but requires specialist rehabilitation, Mildmay can help. Referring to Mildmay frees up acute beds, reduces delayed discharges, and gets patients into the right care faster.

We are Europe’s only centre dedicated to the rehabilitation of people living with HIV-Associated Neurocognitive Disorders (HAND).
We also provide rehabilitative and post-detox health and social care to people who are homeless or sleeping rough.

The Mildmay line
has been named in
recognition of Mildmay Hospital's pioneering care for people with HIV/AIDS in the 1980s and 90s, the LGBTQ+ community today, and the people of East London for over 160 years.
The Mayor of London and TfL have named the London Overground lines to make the network easier to navigate and to better reflect the Capital's rich and diverse history.
