On the August Bank Holiday, the Two Brewers In Clapham hosted a fabulous fundraiser for Mildmay Hospital to mark our 30th year working at the forefront of HIV service provision, treatment and care. It was quite a night with a sparkling line up of artists all kept in line (!) by host @MissPennyDQ – who is also by the way the best auctioneer ever! We were quite sad to see some of the items donated by some rather special celebrities go under the high heal! Shirley Bassey’s signed handbag for one, which now has a fine new home with Miss Jason who we know will swing it with style! The auction really helped to boost the funds raised and as well as the aforementioned handbag, included a framed Hobbit poster signed by Ian McKellen, a signed and framed Marc Almond T-shirt, a signed T-Shirt from our patron Anita Dobson.

A huge thank you to Jimmy and the whole team at the Two Brewers in Clapham who made the Mildmay team so welcome and to the incredible artists who performed –Sum ting Wong, Miss Jason, Dave Lynn, Lady Imelda, Vanity Nightmare, Marsha mellow, Rose Garden, Miles, Mary Golds, Miss Penny and Mary Mac. The evening which was also supported by @wandsworthOasis raised over £2000 for Mildmay Hospital. Our warmest and heartfelt thanks to all.
