Building Our Future event on 30 September 2021

Huge thanks to our President, The Rt. Hon The Lord Norman Fowler, and our MP, Rushanara Ali, for giving powerful keynote speeches in support of the work of our hospital in caring for those with complex HIV-related conditions - as well as our new Pathway serving the homeless population of London - at our Building Our Future event on 30 September 2021.

Thanks also to all those clinicians working in HIV within the NHS for attending and supporting us.

The event was hugely successful, with clinicians, NHS Commissioners and many of our supporters from the HIV community in attendance as Lord Fowler and Rushanara spoke about how Mildmay Hospital has navigated a path through the Coronavirus pandemic, successfully launching our Step-Down Homeless Medical Care Pathway that extends our services to a new cohort of vulnerable patients while supporting and alleviating the burdens on NHS acute hospitals across London.

They also reaffirmed Mildmay's important work providing specialist rehabilitation, treatment, services, and care for people with complex and severe HIV-related health conditions, including HIV-associated brain impairment.

Last but not least, the occasion was rounded off by awards for four members of our Mildmay family for their longstanding and exceptional work.
